  • Sunday volunteering
Duties include helping out around the main hall with general duties such as clearing dishes, engaging with the clients.

  • Specialist
If you have specialist knowledge, in an area such as arts and crafts, and feel you would be able to hold a class, please contact the centre.

The benefits of volunteering

Volunteering at the centre offers a great opportunity to a join a very dedicated team, and spend as much time as you choose, whether this be a couple of hours a month, or a few days per week, supporting those most in need.

Volunteering also offers the opportunity for those who may be thinking about entering a care profession to experience the environment.

What next

In order to become a volunteer, we require those who want to work directly with clients to undergo an enhanced disclosure (which will be paid by LHM if you do not already have this) and sign a contract, which will outline agreed duties.

If you have any questions or wish to volunteer, please contact the day centre manager.
