Food services
Lodging House Mission has a cafe based within the drop-in centre, offering breakfast and lunch Monday to Friday.
Breakfast is served between 8 - 10 Monday to Friday. Tea, coffee and 1st bowl of cereal are free. Hot rolls and a full breakfast are available from 35p to £1.10
Lunch is served between 12 - 2 Monday to Friday.
Tea, coffee, soup and bread are free. 3 course meal, £1.10, main course 75p, desert 35p.
Sunday lunch is served between 5 - 6pm, consisting of soup and sandwiches and is free.
Support Services
The centre has a team of dedicated support staff, who offer help and support in areas such as filling in benefit forms and housing applications, and offering referrals to relevant agencies.
Access to phone facilities for calls to agencies such as the job centre, or electricity board, available from 9.30 - 11.30, 1.30 - 3.00, Monday to Friday.
We have an emergency clothing store which is available to rough sleepers only and is not open to the general visitor. We have discontinued receiving second-hand clothing.
Other services include access to shower facilities and toiletries and Workshops and information sessions are held by local agencies within the centre.
Chaplaincy Services
Chaplaincy service offered during opening times. Prayers Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 11.30 - 12.00, Sunday Service 6 - 6.30.
Educational Services
There is a wide range of activities and educational opportunities available in and around the centre. The IT cafe based within the drop in centre is open from 8 - 12, 1.30 - 3 each day and offers:
- Free internet access at designated times.
- Access to a range of online short courses, in areas such as construction, and basic computing.
- One to one tuition in reading, writing, numbers and basic computing.
- Help with finding work, including C.V. builder.
- Help with finding a college course, including funding advice.
- College led courses, such as yoga, introduction to social care, which are held in the centre.
- Weekly women’s group held on Thursdays between 10.30-2.
