GET ON YER BIKE
When and Where
Saturday 26th June 2010 (start times from 9:30 to 11:30). The start is in Kelvingrove Park leading back to the SECC via Clydebank.
Route
The route is approximately 16 miles long starting in the lovely Kelvingrove Park in the shadow of Glasgow University, heading to Clydebank taking in the peacefulness of the River Kelvin (mind the squirrels!) as well as the Forth and Clyde Canal before returning to the finish at the SECC car park
The route follows a main cycle path and is therefore suitable for all levels of cyclist. Refreshment points, marshals and first aiders will be on hand to ensure everyone enjoys the day. Start times are staggered (9:30, 10:30 and 11:30) and participants will be allocated a start time.
Who can take part?
This event is a fun day out and not a race. Unlike running you can chat, enjoy the scenery and atmosphere of the day without being out of breath. It is ideal for families, groups of friends and work colleagues to have fun, get exercise and raise money for a very worthwhile cause. You don’t need to be serious cyclist as the route is not challenging and you are encouraged to go at your own pace.

CENTENARY BOOKLET
A Booklet has been prepared as part of the Centenary Celebrations recording a short history of the past 100 years. The Booklet was launched at the Centenary Service and is now available at a cost of £5 from the LHM.
Giving a fascinating insight into the Lodging Houses of days gone by and how the work of the Mission began the booklet comes right up to date recording stories and incidents throughout the century as well as tracing the growth and changes that have taken place over the years.
A must have for anyone who has supported or been involved in the LHM.
